* Previously reported hole
The holes were drilled between Trenches 4, 14 and 15 on the H-1 structure and were designed to guide an upcoming bulk sampling program which will concentrate on the same area.
Hole 28 graded a remarkable 1.305 oz/ton over a true width of 38.6 feet. Overall, 8 of the 15 holes reported intervals with high to very high grades ranging from 0.315 oz/t to 1.759 oz/t gold. The remaining 7 holes reported lesser gold values, with the exception of Hole 23 which was barren. In some of the holes an intervening dyke partially obliterated the mineralized zone.
Dip angles for the holes were either minus 20, 30 or 40 degrees. For the purposes of calculating the true width coefficient, the zone is estimated to be vertically dipping.
Mineralization is localized within highly silicified semi-massive to massive hematite-specularite and gold occurs as fine disseminations and is associated with the oxide mineralization. The major lithology is observed to be light grey to green andesitic pyroclastics intercalated with fine grained to aphanitic andesite. Clasts are subangular to angular, matrix supported, and range in size from 1-3cm. Quartzcalcite stockwork pervades the unit in moderate abundance.
Canasia Industries Corporation is funding the program and can earn a 50% interest in the property from joint owners Silver Grail and Teuton by expending $1.8 million over five years.
E.R. Kruchkowski, P. Geol., is the Qualified Person for the Clone project and has read and authorized this news release. Pioneer Laboratories of Richmond, BC, an accredited facility, is performing the analyses. A quality control program with blanks, standards and duplicates has been instituted.
